Christians Cross     From memory and event related by my Mother and other family members, hopefully this recounting of the life of Kenneth Burrel Butler will enlighten you to who this man is / was. From the dusty pages of yesteryear read of the truths that flowed in his life and molded the man you know, as your husband, father, brother, uncle or friend.
 
     Lets start this story, on October 23, 1935 in a small log house near the Number Ten Coal Mine, just outside of Dora, Walker County, Alabama. From this point of time we will travel in our imagination “Magic Time Machine” backward to the mid 1800’s then spin out to the 21st century and forward to our children’s future . . .
 
Jesus at the right hand of God     The “Dora Centennial Scrapbook 1896-1996”. Through the pages of the Scrapbook, follow the history of James M. and Llydia Davis from the days of Horse Creek / Sharon to present day . James and Lydia, early settlers of Horse Creek in the early 1800’s. Follow their footsteps from Raleigh, North Carolina to Blount Springs, Alabama. Then later to Horse Creek, Walker County, Alabama, and their descendants, to the City of Dora in the 2000’s. History taken from the pages of the Dora Centennial Scrapbook 1886-1996 connecting the lineage of Kenneth Burrel Butler, October 23, 1935 from the past, thru present day and into the future.
 
     Recapitulating facts from the “Dora Centennial Scrapbook 1886-1996” for the members of our family to bond with these memories of our ancestors.
